Progress creating the OLDS MOOC

The OLDS MOOC is currently in the final stages of being put together by the collaborating partners ready for our January start. Each of the partners has a specific role – some are preparing a week, some advising on content and others will be joining in the presentations and live events.  By early December we expect the course to have taken shape although some content is likely to be added right up to Christmas as resources are transferred from our development site to our live site.

On Monday 7th January 2013 we are planning a course launch event. This will be a live streamed event by the partners.  MOOC participants based at some of the partner institutions may be able to watch together. The whole event will be recorded and will help form part of the first week’s content.  It will be led by Yishay Mor who will introduce Learning Design and how the course will work. Participants will be able to ask questions online both during and after the event.  Further details will be announced nearer the day, so watch this space. In the meantime please continue to encourage your colleagues to sign up for the MOOC if they are interested in Learning and Curriculum Design.
