On Tuesday 19 February 12:00 GMT, we will hold a live “convergence” session. This session will be organised as a “fishbowl” at which facilitators and invited participants meet in a Google Hangout ‘on air’ panel session, and everyone else can simultaneously view the video live on this page and discuss it in real time via twitter and the open discussion list.
This synchronous Event: "Take off?" will allow you to reflect on your experience of working with OER this week and to take this forward into a wider discussion of this experience of open practices, to see if participants can answer the question "What do open practices mean for my work?". The session will be in the form of a panel discussion with plenty of time for questions/debate. We will post the URL of the Hangout on this page at 11.40am GMT for a 12 noon start on this page (see the Time Zone converter if you are outside GMT).
The session will be focued on the topics in this open doc which you can contribute to https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DQe3PFC1hb_VMaei6JpvelC2HItAzrkZ8PV3uF6n8JM/edit?usp=sharing
The session will be recorded and made available for viewing on this page after the event.
If you have any questions which you would like the panel to discuss, or be willing to join in the “fishbowl”, please let us know by tweeting to the hashtag #oldsmooc_ conv or by email to email@example.com, and we will endeavour to invite you to talk, time and technical capacity permitting.
